Administrative Assessment

Administrative units are non-degree granting offices that exist across ODU's campus. Administrative offices ensure the success of students, faculty, staff, and the University as a whole, through pursuing improvement opportunities informed by institutional priorities. Evidence of the pursuit of improvement is documented and then regularly reviewed using a rubric to help the unit best communicate and navigate improvement efforts. A template is provided to help guide the documentation effort. Click the button to access the template.

The following framework organizes and outlines the process of administrative assessment:

  • Establish clear, justifiable, and measurable strategies intended to yield improvement

  • Systematically gather, analyze, and interpret evidence to determine how well the strategy met the expectations for improvement

  • Use the resulting information to develop new or enhance the existing strategy for further improvement

Administrative assessment reports should follow this template and be submitted to OIEA by September 30th.
