The Commonwealth Special Education Endorsement Programs serves special educators with provisional licenses in special education: general curriculum K-12 who are employed in public school divisions and state-operated special education programs.
The Paraprofessional Preparation for Extraordinary Teaching (PPET) Program is a technology-rich, innovative approach to teacher preparation in special education targeting public school and state-operated special education program employees seeking endorsement in special education: general curriculum K-12. Participants must hold bachelor's degrees from regionally accredited universities.
The VI Consortium is the only academic program for preparing teachers of students with blindness and visual impairments in Virginia and is comprised of three universities: George Mason University, Old à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã University, and Radford University
The Virginia Consortium for Teacher Preparation in Special Education Adapted Curriculum (ACSD) is comprised of six state-approved teacher preparation programs in special education: adapted curriculum K-12. Participating are George Mason, Norfolk State, Radford, James Madison, Virginia Commonwealth and Old à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã universities.
