Ed Neukrug, chair of the Department of Counseling and Human Services Old ֱ University's College of Education and Professional Studies, has won the American Counseling Association's (ACA)
This honor recognizes an ACA member who has made outstanding contributions to the publication of counseling-related literature. He is just the fifth person to receive this award.
Earlier this year, Neukrug was named the Batten Endowed Chair for counseling. Neukrug has written a dozen books, including a two-volume encyclopedia on counseling theory, and developed an interactive and animated website on "Great Therapists of the Twentieth Century" as well as other open-access materials for laypersons and professionals.
Neukrug has held a variety of positions in local, regional and national professional associations in counseling and human services. In addition, he has published numerous articles and has received a number of grants and contracts with school systems and professional associations. He has been named a Fellow by the ACA and twice received the President's Award from the National Organization of Human Services.
