Please take a moment to congratulate Dr. John Baaki on his recent publication, The effect of emotive case construction on knowledge acquisition and ethical sense-making in the Q1 journal, Journal of Computing in Higher Education. Co-authored with Dr.s Souder, Stefaniak and Dice, the paper delves into adding emotive content to case examples used in instruction. Â Using a post-test only with control group design, the authors found that emotive content related to the characters' emotional reactions, background, beliefs and physical appearance could distract or overwhelm the learner. Â The paper is attached here.
