Keitha Boone served over twenty-eight years with the Norfolk Police Department, retiring as a Lieutenant. During her tenure with the Norfolk Police Department, she served in Patrol, the Detective Division, Patrol Lieutenant, the Lieutenant in charge of the Special Crimes Unit and Executive Officer of the Training Division. She joined the Old à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã University Police Department in 2010. Within her career at ODU, she has served as an Acting Assistant Chief of Police when needed, and currently, serves as the department’s Deputy Chief, overseeing the Accreditation Unit, Threat Team Management, Training/Hiring, the Police Communications Specialist, and the Recruitment Unit. DC Boone has completed executive leadership schools throughout her career such as, FBI Command Institute for Law Enforcement Executives, and New Chiefs/Deputy Chiefs Training School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology/PED from Adelphi University in New York and is a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, Inc.
