About this Program

The minor in public law is designed to support students who are interested in specializing in public law and strengthening their understanding of politics and government. The program might be particularly attractive to those interested in attending law school. Combined with politics and public policy, the public law minor is highly relevant and useful, and prepares students to engage the future as informed citizens and potentially as students of the law.

Requirements

What are the requirements to apply for Public Law at ODU?
Students entering the Minor program in Public Law should meet the minimum university admission requirements Undergraduate Admission.

For completion of the public law minor, a student must have a minimum overall cumulative grade point average of 2.00 in all courses required for the minor (exclusive of lower-level courses and prerequisite courses) and complete a minimum of six hours in upper-level courses in the minor requirement through courses offered by Old à£à£Ö±²¥Ðã University. No more than a total of three credit hours will be counted toward the political science minor from ,  a²Ô»å .
